3a. Third-Party Advertising

We use Google AdMob to display ads within the Eat With Your Eyes app. Google AdMob may collect and use certain device information to serve personalized ads, including:

• **Advertising identifiers**: Your device's advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android), which helps Google show you relevant ads
• **App usage data**: How you interact with ads (impressions and clicks) to measure ad performance
• **Device information**: Device type and operating system version

**iOS users**: When you first use the app, we ask for your permission to track your activity across apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized to your interests. You can change this preference at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

**You can opt out**: You can reset or limit ad tracking in your device settings:

• iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → toggle off "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
• Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → "Delete advertising ID"

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers. Ad revenue helps us keep the app free and fund our creator program. Premium subscribers do not see ads.

4. Contact Information & Friend Discovery

When you choose to find friends on Eat With Your Eyes, your device contacts are processed entirely on your device. Phone numbers and email addresses are converted into irreversible cryptographic hashes (SHA-256) before being sent to our servers. We never receive, transmit, or store your raw contact information.

• Matched hashes are used only to show you which of your contacts are already on the platform
• Unmatched hashes are stored temporarily (up to 90 days) so we can notify you if a contact joins later
• After 90 days, unmatched hashes are automatically deleted
• Your phone number, if provided, is stored securely and never included in public API responses

5. Data Retention

• Account data is retained while your account is active
• You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time
• Some data may be retained for legal compliance after deletion
